The Geological Survey of Pakistan, M/O Energy (Petroleum Division) is seeking applications from eligible candidates for
the following positions on contract basis for an ongoing PSDP titled “Accelerated Geological Mapping of Un-mapped Outcrop Areas of Pakistan at 1:50,000 Scale (350 Toposheets) & Geological Investigations for Resource Mapping of Gemstones & Metallic Minerals in Potential Blocks of Gilgit-Baltistan 2024” likely to be completed by June, 30, 2026:

M.Sc/BS Geology or equivalent. Preferably 03 years relevant experience

Deputy Director (GIS/Image Processing)

Pay Scale: PPS-8/Equivalent BPS -18
Salary: (218,750-10940-350,030)

Important Instructions:

i. The positions are to be filled on contractual basis and therefore not worth for any claim of regularization or for extension beyond the project life.
ii. The indicated age and experience requirements will be counted as on the closing date.
iii. The period of contract will be maximum up to the project life i.e. June, 30, 2026. The contract period is extendable in case of extension in the project implementation period.
iv. Interested candidates are directed to fill up/ submit the application form on National Job Portal’s website
(www.njp.gov.pk) within fifteen (15) days of publication of this advertisement in the press. No other modes of application will be entertained.
v. Interested candidates are advised to must go through the Job Description uploaded on the official website (https://gsp.gov.pk/) .
vi. The candidates shall present/provide original degrees and other documents/testimonials along with experience certificates at the time of their interview.
vii. The Government servants and employees of corporate/autonomous/semi-autonomous bodies need to submit
NOC from their employer at the time of interview.
viii. Selected candidates will have to join within thirty (30 days) of issuance of offer letter, failing which the position will be offered to the next candidate.
ix. Successful candidates shall provide/submit HEC verified degrees or HEC equivalence certificate at the time of joining.
x. Employment terms and conditions will be as per Finance Division’s guidelines for PSDP.
xi. Only short listed, candidates will be called for test/interview. No TA/DA shall be admissible for test/interview.
xii. The Project Management reserves the right to accept or reject any/all applications without assigning any reason(s).
